Abstracts
Dear colleagues,
On behalf of the Scientific Committee, we are delighted to invite researchers, clinicians, educators, and healthcare professionals to submit abstracts for The First European Conference on Functional Somatic Symptoms in Children and Adolescents, to be held in Bergen, Norway, from 2-4 May 2027.
The conference will bring together professionals from across Europe with a shared interest in improving the understanding, assessment, treatment, and long-term outcomes of children and adolescents with functional somatic symptoms. The programme is organised around a stepped-care framework, progressing from population perspectives and primary care to advanced multidisciplinary assessment and treatment.
We welcome submissions presenting original research, clinical innovation, service development, educational initiatives, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Submissions from both established and early-career researchers are welcome. We particularly encourage interdisciplinary contributions that bridge healthcare, education, community services, and research.
Submission Deadline = November 1st (symposium) / December 1 (oral presentation/poster)

Instructions for abstract submission:
- All abstracts must be written in English.
- Abstracts need to be submitted as PDF.
- The abstract should consist of the following parts: Title, list of authors (mark presenting author), introduction/background, aims, methods, results, conclusion
- Maximum of total 2200 signs including letters, signs and empty spaces.
- In addition one figure or table can be included.
